Astronomers are using the Hubble Space Telescope to study auroras. What is aurora? Aurora is a stunning light shows in a planet’s atmosphere. As we all know, our Earth have aurora on both of our poles. Besides our Earth, this light show also occur on the poles of the largest planet in the solar system, Jupiter.
Scientists have observed massive amounts of energy swirling over Jupiter’s polar regions that contribute to the giant planet’s powerful auroras. While Hubble is observing and measuring the auroras on Jupiter, Juno spacecraft is measuring the properties of the solar wind itself.
